Inspiration of the Week: Caroline Chandelier

I was inspired this week by the "Caroline" Chandelier.

This piece is fit for Princess Kate herself. The "Caroline" Chandelier looks like a Modern Fairy tale come to life! If you are looking to top off a dazzling and romantic event, this gorgeous chandelier will do the trick.

Call me crazy or maybe it's wishful thinking, but I have been catching the slightest snifter of fall in the morning air. Maybe I'm a dreamer and ready for the summer heat to be over but whatever the case I am already feeling inspired for fall leaves, warm cocoa, and yes that crisp cool weather.

Start dreaming about fall and your next event with the "Caroline" Chandelier. A Sea foam green, orange and red color palette will inspire your guests as the juxtaposition of romantic and rustic intermingle to form the  perfect setting.

Inspiration of the Week: "Louise" Weathered Shutters

We were inspired this week by the "Louise" Weathered Shutters.
Authentic, naturally aged shutters from the 1940's they look really amazing when used as backdrops and make a rustic statement when used as table runners.

Need some more inspiration. View below for some sensational shutter looks that will add charm and character to your wedding or event!

Add a vintage feel to your wedding by using the shutters to display photos. For extra-charm, print your photos using black and white and sepia.

Define an intimate sitting area with shutters.

Have guests at your wedding leave a special message for the bride and groom. Utilize luggage tags or old pages from a book that can hang from the panels of the shutters.

Start your event off right by using old shutters as a stand for seating cards.

And for a more modern twist, use the shutters as a backdrop illuminated with colored lights.

Rent More Than Just Your Decor!

TMII-{Todays MR Innovative Idea}

We all know how expensive it can be to look fabulous! Well, it doesn't have to be anymore with websites like RENT THE RUNWAY. It is exactly what it says it is, a website where you can rent designer dresses, jewelry, handbags, etc...What a brilliant idea! Every bride always says they want their bridesmaids to love their dress so they will want to wear it again, OR they want to keep the price down since her bridesmaids will probably only wear their dress once...Why not have them rent amazing designer dresses from RTR for $100...Who wouldn't love to wear a beautiful Badgley Mischka gown for $100? Already maxed your wedding attire budget with your dream wedding dress & forgot to think about your ceremony jewelry or a rehearsal dinner dress? Why not rent those items for a fraction of what you would normally spend & get designer pieces that you never thought you could afford! RTR has everything from vintage Chanel jewelry, Oscar De La Renta, Badgley Mischka, Monique Ihuillier, Kate Spade, Vera Wang, & the list goes on and on. It may sound a little uncomfortable for control freaks like myself, but after reading RTR's "How It Works" page & RTR's FAQs Page, I am completely in love with the concept! Not only do you get a free "back-up size", but they also offer an additional "second style" for only $25, just in case you get the piece and hate it on! If you keep your designer rental on the hush-hush, no one will ever know!!!

Inexpensive Wedding Favors

TMII {Todays MR Innovative Idea}

Love the idea of giving your guests seeds as wedding favors. Any seeds will work, but get personal with them. If your favorite drink is a mint julep & your partner's known for loving BLTs, then you could use mint and/or tomato creative! It's a gift that will keep on giving & will be a great reminder of how much fun they had at your wedding! Seeds are super cheap, add a little package makeover by using some cute envelopes or unique paper from your local craft store, create a personalized message & you have just made a very affordable & unique favor your guests will never forget! This favor would pair perfectly with any vintage or rustic inspired event! Happy Planning!

Innovative Wedding Programs

TMII {Todays MR Innovative Idea}

Be creative and go green with your wedding programs by using a fun chalkboard or message board instead. This is a great way for your wedding party to really stand out, while shaving costs!! Check out all of our unique signage options under Accessories-Signage. Our "AMANDA" Ornate Chalkboard would look amazing as a dressy version or our "RANDY" or "WEATHERS" chalkboards if you are going for a more rustic look!

Allocating your budget is going to be the toughest part of planning your event, but it has to be done! It's ok to splurge on your "must haves", but be prepared to get innovative with the other items on your list. Here at MR, I plan on giving you TMI with an extra I! "Too Much Information" with a Modern Revival innovative twist! Hope y'all enjoy!

Who doesn't want tons of pictures from their special event? Here's how to do it without breaking the bank and getting the most for your money. I came across these picture apps that you and all of your guests download for your event. These apps are more than your typical photo sharing apps. Throughout the event, all of the pictures that were taken by your guests with these apps will sync to one album, making the ultimate photo album to remember your special night. I can think of sooo many times I wish I would have known about this type of app; my wedding, New Year's Eve party, and my 30th surprise birthday party are just to name a few! If you are on a tight budget get rid of the disposable cameras that you will not only have to pay to have developed, but more than likely they will be overlooked by your guests anyway, serving no purpose. I guarantee you will get more participation from your guests with these apps, thanks to a generation of obsessed camera phone and social media users. Make table cards with the app you chose that includes a cute explanation and directions on how to download. Below is an example app that comes with free table cards, but there are several more event album apps in the app store on your smart phone to check out and compare prices and packages.
